MLB commissioner Rob Manfred addressed the expansion issue on Monday in Miami MLB expansion won’t happen right away, but Rob Manfred has three cities in mind
Here’s what Manfred had to say about that issue on Monday at FanFest: Let me go back to a conversation we’ve had already. I think for us to expand we need to be resolved in Tampa and Oakland in terms of their stadium situations. As much as I hope that both Oakland and Tampa will get stadiums, I think it would be difficult to convince the owners to go forward with an expansion until those situations are resolved.

Why not Vegas? Raiders are moving there, might as well have some baseball…although it is hot as fuck here in July and August
Mexico City is a crazy idea. Hot dogs, apple pie and some blow…
Agreed. Expansion will ruin the game.
Not a fan of expansion, and why Mexico City? That place is dangerous. Just wait until some drug cartel kidnaps Aaron Judge or something…really bad idea.
Talent pool is not the greatest in MLB. This will make the game worse. Plenty of teams, no need for more.
I worry about crime and pollution in Mexico City. Would players be at risk of being kidnapped?
Many players come from Mexico. I like this idea. Expand to a huge city like Mexico City and all teams make out in the long run.
Vegas baby!!!
Huh?
